Free Courses Centro Eureka gives you, free of charge, one Spanish course. All you need to do is form a group of students who want to learn Spanish with us. For each 5 students that enroll, CENTRO EUREKA will provide one place free of charge in the same course for the same duration. You need only pay for your accommodation.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: Students at "La Unión" who are in Antigua for an extended period of time can be assistants or obtain positions as teachers in local schools. Those here for a shorter time can visit hospital patients, spend time with elderly people in local rest homes, or play with children in nearby orphanages. There are also opportunities to work with handicapped people. We can help you find a social project where you will practice your Spanish and you will help Guatemalan people.

Activities.- Every day, when your classes end, you will find countless ways to enjoy Spanish life and culture. At DILE we know that having fun is an essential ingredient of any language stay program, so classroom learning is complemented by a range of out-of-class activities such as: Cinema seasons (Monday to Friday) Talks and discussion sessions Guided tour through the old town of Salamanca Visits to historical buildings (the University, the Cathedral...) and museums Welcome party (first Monday of the month) and end-of-course party (last Friday of the month) Dinner out with the teachers (second Friday of the month) “Tapas” evenings Weekend excursions

 CULTURAL ACTIVITIES Galilea offers a wide variety of trips and local activities that will enhance your studies. By participating in activities you will gain a better understanding of the Spanish culture, cement friendships with fellow students, as well as meet new friends. Galilea is open to all suggestions from students for additional activities. All itineraries are samples and subject to change. WELCOME PARTY! Galilea hosts a welcome party for all program students. There will be typical Spanish beverages and Granada "tapas", as well as a chance to meet and socialize with Spanish students. This initial evening will introduce you to two Granada neighborhoods; Plaza Nueva and Sacromonte! Apart from the tours offered to you by Galilea, Granada enjoys a wealth of interesting places to visit and things to do. The Welcome Party is included in the price of every program- Standard, Intensive and D.E.L.E. preparation course. Tapas on Fridays To relax after a long week of work, on Fridays we go out for “tapas”- to have some “cañitas” drinks and talk for a while. It is a great way to learn about the gastronomy, people and places in Granada.

To get the most out of their stay, students are encouraged to take an active part in the cultural and social activities offered by the school as an essential part of their course. The monthly program of activities is varied and thorough, but there is also plenty of free time to enjoy the many attractions offered by Nerja and its surroundings. Visit to the Prehistoric caves of Nerja and to the picturesque nearby villages of Frigiliana, Almuñécar and Cómpeta (Wednesdays). Excursions to Granada, Marbella, Seville, Córdoba, Málaga and other cities of historical and cultural interest (Saturdays). Sports available: beach volley-ball in summer time. Social life: Spanish films, parties, concerts and other interesting shows. Sevillanas (Flamenco) classes. Spanish Cooking classes. Wine tasting. Students will receive detailed information on our complete program of activities on the first day of their course. All the activities, visits and excursions not included in the program have a stipulated price and are all optional. The Centre reserves the right to change the program if necessary. A package of 2 weeks has a special price. The 2 week package includes all the activities during these 2 weeks, plus one Saturday excursion.

E.I. activities, a perfect complement to your studies E.I.’s cultural activities help you discover and experience the diversity of the cities where our Centers are located. It is the perfect complement to the courses, because it gives you the chance to practice your new language skills in real life situations. It is the best way for you to get to know your classmates, the country you are visiting and its culture. The activities are free or at a reduced rate. A typical monthly program of cultural activities could include: Welcoming party Tour of the city Videos and documentary films Museum visits Theater and concerts Informal outings with professors Spanish songs and games Sports activities Departure party.

Language Exchange.  With this service you can get a better
knowledge of any language by an exchange. The school looks for two different people (a Spanish one and a foreigner) both interested in meeting each other to improve their knowledge of the language by an exchange. This service is free and you can ask for it when you arrive at the school.

TALLERES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Conversation: Students in the beginning levels have the opportunity to put to work their Spanish conversation skills in small groups. The students are led by one of our teachers, and classes are largely based on student-generated themes and real-life situations. In this way, students gain more practical knowledge of the language and feel more confident as they speak Spanish in the "real world". This workshop provides the ideal setting to practice and enhance Spanish conversation skills. Regional Cooking: The state of Oaxaca is famous for the richest cuisine in all of Mexico. Through what they cook in this workshop, students are able to gain an appreciation for the foundation of Mexican cuisine: corn, chiles, herbs and chocolate.  Special Workshops for summertime.

Activities taking place in both Granada and Almuñécar: Conferences on the literature, history, art, etc., of Spain and Latin-America. Informal talks of current topics related to the Hispanic world, with the aid of slides, videos, etc. Poetry workshop, with studies of different Hispanic poets and their work. Latin-American and Spanish music workshop. Series of Spanish films with daily showing of a recent film from Spanish cinema, directed by representative and current film-makers such as Pedro Almodóvar, Carlos Saura, Alejandro Amenábar... Class on Latin-America, with videos and informal talks. Various fiestas and free sangría, a typical Andalusian drink.

Self-Access Study Centre Here, under the guidance of their tutors, students are able to take advantage of a wide range of recorded, written and CD-Rom based material and exercises designed to supplement and consolidate work done in class. Video helps to set the language in an authentic audio-visual context as well as providing a useful starting point for oral practice, group discussion and written work.
